Featuring: Montgomery Cheddar - possibly England's finest cheddar Hand made by James Montgomery near Yeovil, Somerset  - smooth, nutty and very complex, matured for over a year whilst wrapped in muslin cloths on laid on wooden shelves. Unpasteurised and vegetarian.

Colston Bassett Blue Stilton -  the "King of Cheeses". From the heart of Nottinghamshire, made by using milk from the same pastures and the same farms that founded the dairy as a co-operative in 1913. Colston Bassett, a rural village in the heart of the English countryside, has become famous to lovers of fine cheese worldwide. Pasteurised and vegetarian.

Brie de Meaux - this fine Brie is made from unpasteurised cows milk and then cave-aged giving it a full, clean and lactic flavour. As we bring this cheese to maturity in our own cellars, there should be no chalkiness and the Brie will be perfect to eat on its arrival. Unpasteurised and not vegetarian.

Crumbly Lancashire - mild, fresh and crumbly, made by the Greenfield's family in Inglewhite near Preston. A wonderful table cheese, great for cooking with (makes the perfect rarebit!) Pasteurised and vegetarian. Why not try it with our Charcoal Biscuits - delicious and they look fantastic too.

Mrs. Kirkham's Smoked Lancashire - Rick Stein's Lancashire of choice. Made by Mrs Ruth Kirkham and her son-in-law Graham in Goosnargh near Preston. Here the pasture land is near the Irish sea and the tasty quality of the milk and its cheese is said to be due to the wind driven sea salt which impregnates the pasturage. Locally smoked. Unpasteurised and vegetarian.

Kidderton Ash - a soft goats cheese rolled in ash, in the style of the world renowned Sainte Maure de Touraine cheese. Produced entirely by hand by young cheesemaker Katy Hollinshead in very small batches at the Burland Farm Dairy, Nantwich, Cheshire, Kidderton Ash's resonant creamy nutty flavour and soft, delicate texture is proving a winning combination. Pasteurised and vegetarian.

There is enough cheese in this selection to keep 4 - 6 guests happy at the table!  For larger numbers, 8, 10 or 12 guests, we would suggest ordering two packages. We will double the quantity of cheese, cutting pieces twice as big, creating a real feast for the eye!
