Epoisses - This is a cow's milk cheese that is washed in Marc de Bourgogne, a local French alcohol. The combination of salt and alcohol help make this a creamy, sweet, pungent, grassy, barnyardy, spreadable and complex cheese. Comes in a 250gm pine box. Unpasteurised and not vegetarian.
Grandma Singletons Lancashire - Aged for a minimum of ten months, Grandma Singletons is semi-soft in consistency and slightly crumbly with an even yellow colour and a strong, tangy flavour. It is the strongest Lancashire cheese available in the UK. Made with cows milk, pasteurised and vegetarian.
Picos Blue - Made using a mixture of cow's and goat's milk, this cheese comes wrapped in maple leaves and has a pungent, spicy flavour that is certainly not for the faint-hearted! Unpasteurised, not suitable for vegetarians.
Included in this package is a specially selected jar of chutney and packet of savoury biscuits to complement your cheeses.
There is enough cheese in this selection to keep 4 - 6 guests happy at the table! For larger numbers, 8, 10 or 12 guests, we would suggest ordering two packages. We will double the quantity of cheese, cutting pieces twice as big, creating a real feast for the eye! |
