You can book and reserve your wedding cake with a £25 deposit by selecting Bank Transfer on checkout. The remaining balance will be due 2 weeks prior to the wedding date.

Brand new cake for March 2016! As the name suggests, this wonderful tower of cheese has a huge luxury PORK PIE in the middle of it making it perfect for your evening buffet!

Base Layer – Carron Lodge Mature Cheddar  – A large wheel of strong, tangy, Cheddar cheese. The perfect cheese to start with – strong but not too strong so everyone will be able to enjoy it! 32cm diameter

Next Layer – Pork Pie. Handmade by Mark Duckworth, the owner of multi award-winning Dales Butchers of Kirkby Lonsdale, just down the road from Churchmouse Cheeses. Succulent and tasty with a rich, crusty pastry, the pork comes from Fred Gibson’s pigs of Lupton, just down the road from Kirkby Lonsdale. These pies are made to order especially for us so we do need a minimum of one week’s notice to supply this cake! 26 cm diameter

Next Layer –  Whin Yeats Fellstone. A brand new cheese from a brand new dairy situated just 5 miles away from our shop! Tom and Clare Noblet make this rather lovely Wensleydale style cheese using raw milk from their own herd of cows at their Hutton Roof farmhouse in the shadow of Farleton Knott, the spectacular “Gibraltar of Westmorland” that is such an impressive sight as you turn off the M6 to visit our shop at Barbon near Kirkby Lonsdale. It has a smooth, creamy and mild flavour , a delightful contrast to some of the more powerful tastes on offer within this cake. 20cm diameter

Next Layer – Cashel Blue. Full flavoured yet intensely creamy blue from Tipperary in Ireland. This is one of my all time favourite blue cheeses, there’s just something so lovely about its tangy, rich blue taste  combined with its smooth, buttery texture.  Pasteurised cows milk.   14cm diameter

Next Layer – Tovey  – Handmade in Cumbria by Leonie & Carolyn Fairburn, this is a little truckle of mould-ripened, unpasteurised goats milk cheese, quite tasty without taking the roof of your mouth off! Bear in mind, it’s not veggie though! We can change this cheese if you need it to be suitable for vegetarians. 11 cm diameter

To the side – 2 Heart-Shaped Bries (Neufchatel) The finishing touch!

As always, the price includes delivery to anywhere in the mainland UK and all decorations!
